The Ohio Pork Producers Council was looking to consolidate multiple web sites that included multiple target audiences. They recognized that the primary focus to drive consumers to their web site was through pork recipes. The recipes posted are family recipes from various Ohio pork farms. Once at the recipes the consumer is given the option to learn more about that families farm and even watch videos from that farm.
For the design of this web site we used ASP.NET to make every page dynamically created from a CMS back end. The CMS is a web-based application we created that allows the staff to modify nearly every part of the content on the web site. The CMS uses extensive AJAX and offers the ability to quickly import videos directly from YouTube using the Google Data API.
