Drink-Milk.com

Client: American Dairy Association Mideast

Goals: To create a clean and modern website to promote dairy nutrition & health information.

Drink-Milk.com promotes the dairy industry for the Mideast region. It has several target audiences, consisting of consumers, health professionals, as well the industry itself. The site features a completely revamped organizational structure, as well as a clean and modern look.

We developed the drink-milk.com website to include a full-featured Content Management System (CMS) on the back-end that allows the client's staff to easily update and add content for the website. The site also features several pages with additional JavaScript for enhanced interaction and page animation. The Frequently Asked Questions page and the Ounce of Prevention page are two excellent examples.

We have also built a completely custom Umbraco-based e-commerce system to handle orders for their industry promotional materials. The solution allows producers to order promotion materials. The system includes full two-way synchronization with QuickBooks to allow easy fulfillment and inventory tracking for the client.

OhioPork.org

Client: Ohio Pork Producers Council

Goals: To create a modern website to promote pork and Ohio's pork producers.

When developing Ohio Pork Producers Council's primary website we developed a completely custom Content Management System (CMS) that gives them the ability to manage and update the content and images on the site specifically to their needs. This includes a module designed specifically for managing the slideshows on both the homepage and the industry section. It allows the client to add and remove custom slides in the animated slideshows.

We developed a custom solution using the Google data API to allow them to simply enter a YouTube username and then click to import any of that user's video sumbissions direclty onto their own site's video section. This allows them to cross-market their videos on YouTube.com as well as on their own website, but only need to upload the video once and provides comprehensive usage statistics. The site also features a focus on social media with the ability to selectively enable Facebook and Twitter integrations on every page.  The site includes a large resource section with downloads for the educational materials that they provide for teachers.

OhioDairyFarmers.com

Client: American Dairy Association Mideast

Goals: To build a website to promote Ohio's Dairy Farmers.

The Ohio Dairy Farmers website features a very large collection of facts, videos, and stories about Ohio Dairy Farms. The website has a consumer focus and features a unique scrap-book design. 

The client wanted to utilize the same design team that they had used previously for the print side of the campaign. They provided us with Photoshop images of exactly how they wanted the website to look on each page. We took the project from there, slicing the comps into web-compatible images and developing the site with the provided content to match the comps. This is a great example of how we can work with the client, and their own resources to acheive the exact look and feel that they want.

To acheive the desired scrap-booking design, the site required an extensive amount of overlapping images, utilizing transparency and a lot of CSS to maximize the resource re-useability between pages.

We also developed several custom AJAX / JavaScript based pages to encourage expoloration of the many pages within the site. Two great exmaples would be the Meet Ohio Dairy Families page which picks five families at random every page load, and the map view which allows an easy way to find families based on their location. We also developed a custom AJAX based e-card system for the site as a fun option to encourage social sharing.

BlackCreekBistro.com

Client: Black Creek Bistro

Goals: Design and develop a website to match the ideals of the Black Creek Bistro restaurant.

Black Creek Bistro restaurant features ultra-fresh, local product and green ideals, and has been rated one of the top 10 best restaurants in Columbus. When designing their website, we felt the look should reflect that same ethic. We choose a nice clean layout with lots of green accents.

We avoided the clutter that many restaurant websites often result in by organizing the layout and navigation to emphasize what most visitors are looking for first. The restaurants hours, phone number, and location map are all located on the homepage. Menus' are accessible from just one click further.

The Black Creek Bistro's menu's change frequently as a result of the seasonal changes and the availability of local products that are constantly changing. As a result, the staff needed a simple and easy way to upload the new menu changes to their website. The website features a digital version of the same menu's that are used at the restaurant. This allows them to easily keep the website menus in synch with the printed versions at the tables.

PrecisionCells.com

Client: NSG Precision Cells, Inc.

Goals: To improve the design and functionality of the existing website and add e-commerce integration.

NSG Precision Cells, Inc. specializes in high quality Cuvettes and other laboratory equipment. Their website had been recently developed by another web development firm; however the product was not fully finished when the other firm closed shop. We were able to help the client take their existing site and extend it into a finished product.  We moved their current e-commerce capability's from a different site into this one, as well as improved the design in several key areas. By working with the unfinished product that they already had we were able to allow them to get the most out of their original investment into the site.

The site features a CMS solution originally built by the previous development firm. We were able to fix several functionality bugs as well as add a few enhancements along the way to better the needs of PrecisionCells.com. We redesigned the home page to make better use of space above the fold. We added the ability for customers to create customer accounts at PrecisionCells.com so that they could easily access past orders, change customer info, and easily enter additional orders. We also added the ability for NSG Precision Cells employees to be able to create their own special offer and promotion boxes that appear on a visitors first page view of each new visit.

BatterySolutions.com

Client: Battery Solutions, Inc.

Goals: To improve upon the design and functionality of the e-commerce website.

Battery Solutions provides easy-to-use recycling kits and services to help businesses and individuals recycle,  remain in compliance with all laws, and help protect the environment.

We helped optimize their website's impact by redesigning both the header and the footer for better utilization of screen-space, while at the same time preserving the same look and feel of the site. We also did a complete redesign of the homepage to better reflect the business's core products.
